• HIGHWAY 34 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE, Sept. 14, 2007

Beginning Monday, September 17th,  Wyoming Street will be closed just north of Highway 34 for approximately 3 days for Storm Sewer construction.  Tuesday morning the contractor will be removing the existing pavement across Sumner Street (Hwy 25). Traffic will be relocated to Sheldon Street and back to US 34 at Laurel Street.

The current construction is generally moving to the East, as the crews construct the Storm Sewer connections.  Most of the intersections will be closed intermittently and re-opened as they finish this stage of the work.

The West section of the project is projected to be open to normal traffic by the end of next week.
