• HIGHWAY 34 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE, Aug. 13, 2007

The contractor should finish the mainline paving at the East end of the project on Monday, August 13th. The temporary detour will be utilized, access across US 34 will be as much as practical in the areas already paved.

Paving at the intersections will also be continuing next week. Driveways are planned to start mid week, if the grade dries enough we could see paving on the West end towards the end of the week.

Caution is advised, although most of the pavement on the South side will be done, US 34 will not be open to traffic, just traffic crossing US 34 at various locations,  these locations will have rock placed between the old and new pavements,  all other locations will still have a drop off between the two pavements, make sure before crossing US 34 that there is rock at that location.
