SWCC Diversity Seminar Targets Educators, Business & Industry,
June 29th, 2006.
CRESTON Southwest Iowa’s educators, service providers, business & industry, economic developers, local political leaders, students, and anyone committed to making diversity a plus for a vibrant southwest Iowa are invited to participate in a very special day of interactive learning. Dr. Samuel Betances will present “Diversity: Southwest Iowa’s Future” on Thursday, June 29, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Southwestern Community College’s (SWCC) campus. Dr. Betances has a distinguished record as a motivational keynote speaker and a consultant with such major Fortune 500 companies as AT&T, XEROX, McDonalds, Merrill Lynch, and Coca Cola USA.
Considered America’s foremost communicator on the challenge of casting away barriers to success, Dr. Betances is an honored Professor Emeritus and a consultant to presidents, managers, community groups, clergy members and educators. He has been a keynote speaker with Oprah Winfrey, and has also appeared as the guest expert on a Peter Jennings special “Prejudice and Children.”
